“I love helping people heal and Chiropractic allows me to see amazing things happen.”

Growing up, I knew I wanted to be a ‘healer’ of some kind. When I discovered chiropractic, with it’s natural health concepts and holistic viewpoint, I was hooked. The idea of getting to the source of the underlying problem instead of masking it was very exciting. I also wanted to find fulfillment in my career by inspiring people to live better and healthier lives.

A Chiropractor’s Education

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Simon Fraser University, and went on to study at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Four years later, I graduated from CMCC in 2005 as a magna cum laude graduate with honours in clinic as well as classroom work.

During school, I was especially drawn to the classes and teachers who built on the holistic concepts of chiropractic; treating the body as a whole being that works together. At this time, I also began to integrate rehabilitation medicine with traditional chiropractic into my studies to restore the body to a state of optimal health.

My Approach

At Family Chiropractic, I work to integrate as many different aspects of health as I can, which is why I find it so valuable to be able to work with other alternative medicine practitioners, including a Registered Massage Therapist and a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. My treatments include traditional chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, stretching, rehabilitation therapy, and of course patient education about lifestyle and nutrition.

I love it when patients ask me questions about their diagnosis and how the treatments are working to get them better, and I often hear patients exclaiming over their new understanding of their condition. I frequently get compliments from patients about the amount of time I spend explaining everything to them.

Whether you require one treatment or many, my goal is to have you leave with a healthier spine and healthier lifestyle than you had before you even got injured.

On a Personal Note…

I currently live in Surrey with my spouse and two dogs. I maintain an active lifestyle with hockey, jogging, and weight-lifting. My passion outside of chiropractic is training and competing with my dogs, both Border Collies, in the sport of canine agility. In 2008, I integrated my two passions by becoming certified in Animal Chiropractic after completing training in Kansas. Often times, you may even see them at the office.
